2. Website Information

We aim to ensure that the information provided on this website is accurate and current. However, information may change from time to time and we do not guarantee that every description, image, specification, price or other information is completely accurate or current.

Product availability, specifications and features may vary depending on the manufacturer and selected system.

3. Security Assessments & Quotes

Security assessments and recommendations are based on the information available to us at the time of assessment.

A security assessment does not guarantee that a property will be completely protected from theft, damage, intrusion or other security incidents.

Any quotation provided by Queensland Security Group is subject to the scope of work identified in the quotation.

Additional work, products or services outside the agreed scope may incur additional charges, which will be communicated to the customer before the additional work is undertaken where reasonably practicable.

4. Installation Services

Customers are responsible for providing reasonable access to the property and ensuring that we have the necessary permissions to carry out the requested work.

Installation may require drilling, cabling, electrical connections or other modifications to a property.

Where required, customers are responsible for obtaining landlord, body corporate, strata or other relevant approvals unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We will take reasonable care when performing installation work. However, existing building conditions, concealed wiring, structural issues or other unforeseen circumstances may affect installation.

5. Products & Equipment

Security products supplied by Queensland Security Group may be manufactured by third-party manufacturers.

Manufacturer warranties apply to products where applicable. Product warranties are separate from Queensland Security Group's workmanship warranty.

Product specifications, features and availability may change without notice.

6. Lifetime Workmanship Warranty

Where specifically included in your agreement or quotation, Queensland Security Group provides a Lifetime Workmanship Warranty covering defects arising directly from our installation workmanship.

Where a covered workmanship issue occurs, Queensland Security Group will assess the issue and, where applicable, return to rectify the workmanship at no additional labour charge.

The Lifetime Workmanship Warranty does not cover:

  • Product or manufacturer defects

  • Damage caused by misuse or neglect

  • Accidental damage

  • Vandalism

  • Storm, flood, fire or other environmental damage

  • Unauthorised modifications

  • Damage caused by third parties

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Internet, telecommunications or power outages

  • Changes to third-party software or services

  • Issues unrelated to our installation workmanship

Product warranties remain subject to the manufacturer's terms and conditions.

Nothing in this warranty limits rights available to consumers under Australian Consumer Law.

7. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information

  • Providing reasonable access to the property

  • Maintaining required internet, electrical and telecommunications services

  • Maintaining passwords and access credentials securely

  • Using security systems in accordance with manufacturer instructions

  • Notifying Queensland Security Group of relevant changes to the system or property

Customers should not rely solely on any security system as their only method of protecting people or property.

8. Security System Limitations

Security systems are designed to reduce risk and provide detection, monitoring or deterrence. They cannot guarantee that theft, intrusion, damage or other incidents will not occur.

Queensland Security Group is not responsible for losses arising solely because a security system failed to prevent an incident, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

9. Payments

Payment terms will be specified in the relevant quotation, invoice or service agreement.

Deposits or upfront payments may be required before work commences.

Where payment is overdue, Queensland Security Group may suspend services until outstanding amounts have been paid.

10. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Customers should provide reasonable notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment.

Cancellation or rescheduling fees may apply where Queensland Security Group has incurred costs or where a cancellation occurs at short notice.

Any applicable cancellation terms will be communicated before the relevant service is booked.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Queensland Security Group will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use or inability to use a security product or service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

12. Third-Party Services

Some security systems may rely on third-party services, including internet connections, cloud platforms, mobile applications, telecommunications networks and manufacturer software.

Queensland Security Group is not responsible for interruptions or changes to third-party services outside our reasonable control.
